Hiba essential oil, extracted from the mature trees' wood waste through vapor distillation, boasts potent antimicrobial, germicidal, insect-repellent, and deodorizing properties. This mist use only Aomori-bred Hiba trees, which contain Hinokitiol, an exclusive compound that is not found in other types of Hiba trees.
